Brian Korb

As a Transaction Advisor, Brian brings experience from investment banking and investor relations.
Brian most recently co-founded Astr Partners, which focuses on creating bespoke investor relations solutions for public and private life sciences companies to help them prepare for capital raising, licensing and ongoing exposure to institutional investors and the sell-side.
Previously, Brian was a Managing Director at Oppenheimer in the Healthcare Investment Banking group where he advised both public and private companies on a range of transactions including financings and M&A. At Oppenheimer, Brian also served as Head of Healthcare Intuitional Equities where he helped enhance the connectivity of corporate clients and Oppenheimer research analysts with institutional investors.
Brian started his career at the Trout Group 20+ years ago, helping build Trout into the leading investor relations firm for biotech companies, and advised hundreds of companies, ultimately becoming a Managing Director at Trout.
At The Trout Group Brian advised healthcare clients on clarifying their narrative, investment focus and leveraged key relationships for increased exposure to the appropriate audience. Brian was also a key Partner at Trout Capital, helping to raise more than $1 Billion for multiple biotech companies in the US and Europe.
Brian played a key role in helping to sell The Trout Group to PNC Bank/Solebury Capital in 2017 and acted as the key PNC/Solebury liaison.
Brian was then a Managing Director at Solebury Trout and Co-Head of the HealthcareTeam. At Solebury, Brian helped lead the team and worked with both public and private life-sciences of all sizes, stages of development and geographies achieve their capital raising, M&A, product acquisitions & divestitures and business development transaction objectives.
